About

I am Isak, an infrastructure analyst based in Brazil. My day-to-day work is platform reliability: Kubernetes, infrastructure as code with Terraform, CI/CD on Google Cloud, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Sentry.

I came to infrastructure from development, after several years writing software — much of it in Python — before moving to the operations and reliability side.

Outside of work I maintain open-source projects in three areas:

  • Cryptography — elliptic-curve libraries across Python, JavaScript, and Go (ecutils), and an end-to-end encrypted chat built on them (e2hat).
  • Radio and signal processing — HF digital modes, modems, and SDR tooling. I am a licensed radio amateur, PU3IAR.
  • Embedded systems — a toolchain for 8-bit AVR microcontrollers: a language, compiler, emulators, and an IDE.

This site is where I write about that work. The source for everything I publish is on GitHub.
